Privacy Policy
Rennstaff makes reasonable efforts to protect the privacy of your personal information. This privacy policy (the “Policy”) was created to demonstrate our commitment to transparency and fair information practices. This Policy covers Rennstaff’s use of personal information collected from visitors to the www.joinRennstaff.com website (the “Site”) and information collected from individuals who use the software associated with the Site, including, but not limited to, the Rennstaff™ application and the associated API (the “App”). IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE TERMS IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY, YOU MAY NOT USE THE SITE OR THE APP.
1. Types of Information Collected
a. Personal Information. There are areas on our Site and App where you can share information that is unique to you, such as your name, postal address, email address, phone number, zip code, and any other information (“Personal Information”). Use of the App requires submission of some Personal Information. We ask for Personal Information in order to assist you in enlarging your network and connecting you or your office with users who others who are seeking to provide or purchase services. Visitors to the Site may sign up to receive electronic communications from us where we ask for certain Personal Information. If you communicate with us by e-mail or complete online forms, we may require Personal Information that personally identifies you. Rennstaff may also request your e-mail address or mailing address for the purposes of having someone contact you for additional information, or in response to your request for information from us.
b. Information from Children. Rennstaff does not knowingly solicit or collect information from individuals under 18 years of age. If Rennstaff discovers any user that account holder is not 18 years or older, Rennstaff reserves the right to cancel such user’s membership. If you are the parent of a child and have discovered that your child has subscribed to the App and Rennstaff’s services, you can contact us at help@rennstaff.com to delete the information that has been submitted by a child.
c. Cookies. Rennstaff may collect information about you whenever you visit this Site or use the App. For instance, we may collect various forms of information such as entry and exit points for the Site (i.e., referring URLs or domain names), site traffic statistics, operating system and browser type (collectively “Traffic Data”). Traffic Data is anonymous information that does not personally identify you but is helpful for marketing purposes or for improving your experience on the App and Site. In addition, when you request pages on the Site or use the App, our servers may log your IP address. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer or mobile device whenever you are surfing the Web. Rennstaff may store some information on your computer or mobile device in the form of a “cookie” or similar file to help us maintain and improve the App and the Site in many ways. A “cookie” is a small amount of data that is transferred to your browser by a web server and can only be read by the server that gave it to you. It functions as your identification card, recording such things as Internet addresses, passwords, and preferences. It cannot be executed as code or deliver viruses. With most internet browsers, you can erase “cookies” from your computer hard drive, block all “cookies,” or receive a warning before a “cookie” is stored. Enabling cookies allows you to take full advantage of all of the features of the App or Site and we recommend that you leave them turned on. d. Device and Location Information. In order to provide personalized and effective services, we may collect information regarding the computer or mobile device that you use to access Rennstaff’s services, including but not limited to, the manufacturer, model, operating system, browser type, mobile network information, and other information. The App may also collect and display information regarding your geographic location.
2. Use of Collected Information
We collect and store your Personal Information using commercially reasonable procedures designed to protect the information we collect. Rennstaff may use Personal Information to send you information about our products, services, or promotional material from time to time, or to contact you when necessary. We use your Personal Information to customize and tailor your experience on the App and Site and to display content that we think might interest you according to your preferences. If you choose to subscribe to Rennstaff services, we will use your Personal Information to provide a more tailored experience. In order to keep our customers informed about our services, we may send e-mail notices to you.
3. Sharing of Personal Information
Rennstaff will not sell, rent, share, monitor, edit, or disclose any Personal Information about you, including its contents or your use of the App and Site, without your prior consent. Rennstaff may share your Personal Information for the limited purposes noted below:
a. Third-Parties. Rennstaff may share Personal Information with other companies and individuals to perform functions such as data storage, processing subscription services, sending e-mail, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, providing search results and links (including paid listings and links), processing credit card payments, technical support, and providing customer service. Such companies shall only use your Personal Information for those purposes required to perform their functions.
b. Business Transfers. In the event of a sale of Rennstaff or some or all of its assets, Personal Information may be one of the transferred business assets. In such an event, the use of Personal Information remains subject to the obligations made in any pre-existing Policy.
c. Legal Obligations. Rennstaff may share your Personal Information if we have a good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (i) protect and defend the rights or property of Rennstaff ; (ii) enforce this Agreement; (iii) protect the interests of other users of the App or Site or any other person; (iv) operate or conduct maintenance and repair of the Site or equipment; (v) to provide information to relevant authorities in the case of a health or safety emergency; or (vi) comply with legal process or other legal requirements of any governmental authority. Specifically, and without limitation, you should be aware that the law may require Rennstaff to disclose information and/or take action in the event of reported or suspected crime or safety situation.
d. Disclosure to Other Users. If you utilize the App and accept or invite third-parties to connect, you acknowledge that you are aware that any information you post or share to your profile can be read and collected by other users of the App. Rennstaff is not responsible for any third-party’s use of the information you choose to submit and share as part of the App or your user profile.
e. Use in Marketing Material. If you use the App or Site and create a profile, Rennstaff may use your name, image, and other profile information as part of Rennstaff’s marketing or advertising material, including but not limited to, digital or internet advertisements, social media, printed marketing materials, or similar marketing or promotional material.
4. Opting Out of Providing Personal Information
You may choose not to provide Rennstaff with any Personal Information to access the Site. In such an event, you can still access and use this Site. If you do not wish to receive information and promotional material from us, you may select the appropriate “opt-out” option each time we ask you for Personal Information. However, provision of Personal Information is necessary to use the App and to use certain portions of the Site. If your Personal Information changes (such as address or telephone), we endeavor to provide a way to correct or update your personal data.
5. Release
You hereby waive, release, and forever discharge Rennstaff, its current and former affiliates, subsidiaries, related companies, predecessors, directors, officers, members, attorneys, or agents, from any and all losses, damages, costs, actions, suits, complaints, or injuries to you, whether known or unknown, liquidated or unliquidated, absolute or contingent, that are directly or indirectly related to, caused by, or arise out of a data security breach. In addition, you agree to at all times hold harmless, indemnify, defend, and forever release and discharge Rennstaff from and against any and all claims, liabilities, actions, or causes of action threatened or asserted against Rennstaff or that could be asserted against Rennstaff arising out of or resulting from a data security breach, or any commenced or threatened action by a third party against Rennstaff arising out of or relating to a data security breach.
6. How You Can Access or Correct Your Information
If you have provided your Personal Information and your Personal Information changes (such as your address or telephone) or you want to delete your account, you can access and update any Personal Information that you provided to us or delete your account by visiting your account profile page through the App and making the desired changes. If you have forgotten your password, once you have tried to register and failed, you can click on the “Forgot your password?” link to reach a page on which you can submit your email address. You may also send us an email at help@rennstaff.com to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. We cannot delete your Personal Information except by also deleting your user account. Rennstaff uses this procedure to better safeguard your information. To protect your privacy and security, Rennstaff may also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
7. Other Limits to Your Privacy
The Site and App may contain links to other web sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such web sites. We have no control over these other web sites and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose any Personal Information on these web sites. The privacy of communication over the internet cannot be guaranteed, because the internet is not a secure medium. Rennstaff does not assume any responsibility for any harm, loss, or damage you may experience or incur by the sending of personal or confidential information over the internet by or to Rennstaff or to other users or individuals that you meet through the Site or App.
8. Updates and Changes to Privacy Policy
We reserve the right, at any time and without notice, to add to, change, update, or modify this Policy, simply by posting such change, update, or modification on the Site or in the App. Any such change, update, or modification will be effective immediately upon posting on the Site. Changes, updates, and modifications to the Terms and Conditions of Use (available at www.joinRennstaff.com and this Policy will continue to govern your use of the Site and App even if you elect not to receive notice of such changes. We recommend that you review the Policy from time to time to remain informed of our data collection policies.
